About Sam

Sam is leading the Talent Development function (APAC Region) of a billion dollar IT firm. He has more than a decade of management experience in the corporate sector working in industries such as Banking, Finance, Insurance, Scientific Research and IT services.

Sam holds an MBA (SMU), Specialised in Business Analytics, Aberdeen Business School (RGU –UK) PGDM CIM – UK, and Member of SLIM. He is also a Certified Trainer by C&G UK, Accredited Assessor of Harrison Assessments, and a Certified Scrum Master. Sam has conducted more than 1,000 public and in-house workshops for 100+ leading organisations in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Brunei, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh, Singapore and Dubai.

He is also the Founder Director of Sponge Global Learning, a successful start-up on AI and Simulation based Training solutions and listed as “One of the Most Influential Talent Leaders in Asia” by Times Ascent, at the Global HRD Summit in 2017.Sam has been appointed as a board member for the National ICT Skill Council, which is the advisory apex body for ICT capacity building in Sri Lanka for policy reforms.
